With the cost of a transplant often exceeding $500,000, many transplant families are unable to shoulder the financial burden of such a procedure.  The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (C.O.T.A.) is a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses.  In Norton, Ohio, and all over the United States, many caring volunteers are raising funds for C.O.T.A. in honor of transplant patients like local baby, Gabriel Beres.

Gabriel is the son of Gabe and Sonja Beres.  Born on June 06, 2012, Gabriel was diagnosed with Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis.  The doctors at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, have recommended a life-saving liver transplant.  An estimated $50,000 is being raised by volunteers.

*Update:  On February 3rd, 2014, Gabriel received his gift of life...a healthy, life-saving liver.  He is at Cincinnati Children's Hospital recovering and healing.  He is doing very well!  His parents are staying at the Ronald McDonald House which is located right across the street from the hospital.  They will be there for the next 2-3 months.

Thank you for your continued support and donations!
